NXGN's 14-days Prayer Fasting Plan

Embarking on a 14-day fast as we approach our Christmas event, our aim is clear: reconnecting with the Father, consecrating ourselves before God, and bringing others to Christ. It's a collective commitment to draw closer to the Lord and a prayer to reignite the fire of our First Love.


How to fast:

  1. Define Your Purpose: Clearly define your purpose for fasting.

  2. Choose the Type of Fast: There are various types of fasts, such as water fasting, partial fasting, etc. Alternatively, you can choose to fast from social media, Netflix/Youtube, gaming, etc.

  3. Set a Duration: Choose a duration for your fast; common durations include 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, or even longer.

  4. Prayer and Journaling: Fasting is not just about abstaining from food; it's also a time for increased prayer and reflection. Utilize the time you would typically spend eating to engage in focused prayer, Bible reading, worship, and reflection.

  5. Maintaining a Spirit of Humility: "When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have their reward. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." (Matthew 6:16-18, NIV)
