This year we’re zeroing in on discipleship. For January, we’re moving from attending to actively following Jesus, together. Your COOL (cell group) will use the attached material each week. As you read, don’t just skim, do the simple actions below, chat with a friend, and bring it to COOL.

Let’s grow in purpose.

January at a glance

• Week 1 — Jesus calls ordinary people (Matt 4:18–22):

  • Don’t wait to be “ready”—respond to Jesus’ invitation today.

• Week 2 — Following Jesus costs something (Luke 9:23):

  • Choose obedience over convenience, one daily surrender at a time.

• Week 3 — Disciples imitate the Teacher (Luke 6:40):

  • Don’t just learn about Jesus—practice looking like Him.

• Week 4 — A disciple has direction (Matt 6:33):

  • Put Jesus first; let His kingdom reorder your priorities.
